Quintiles Growing in the Research Triangle: Doubling in Size in Six Years

On November 29, 2006, Quintiles Chairman Dennis Gillings announced an aggressive growth plan for the company in the Research Triangle area of North Carolina. In response to historic business development, Quintiles expects to add 1,000 new jobs in the region during the next six years.

“These are the jobs we’re trying to build and bring into North Carolina: knowledge, talent and skilled,” North Carolina Governor Mike Easley said at a news conference announcing the expansion, “These are the jobs of the future.”

Most of these new opportunities will be in clinical operations, but some new administrative and business support roles are also anticipated.
