Being a company at the forefront of healthcare, Quintiles encourages all employees to refrain from using tobacco products. As part of our commitment to the CEO Cancer Gold Standard and the health of all employees, we are pleased to announce that all U.S. Quintiles office campuses will be tobacco-free as of July 4, 2007. At that time, it is expected that all Quintiles employees, contractors and guests will not use any tobacco products on Quintiles campuses, including parking lots and other open areas, or at Quintiles functions.

We recognize that stopping tobacco use can be a difficult process. Quintiles has partnered with the American Cancer Society to provide free counseling, support materials and nicotine replacement therapy to our employees who wish to stop using tobacco. Dependents and spouses covered under the Quintiles health plan are also eligible for this program. In addition, everyone covered by the Quintiles health plan is eligible to receive free smoking cessation prescription medication with no co-pay.
