We, at Quintiles Transnational Corp., are dedicated to improving healthcare worldwide and are committed to acting with integrity and leading our industry with adherence to the the highest of ethical standards. This dedication to ethics is embodied at all levels of our organization, from our board of directors, executive committee and throughout the organization around the world.
Here at Quintiles, Corporate Governance is not just the responsibility of the legal and finance departments or the executive committee and the board, it is a duty and responsibility for every employee.
For those of us at Quintiles, governance, accountability and control is a part of everything we do. Clinical research and the development and commercialization of medicines is highly regulated and requires impeccable adherence to standards. The establishment of Sarbanes-Oxley and the tightening of standards of ethics did not require us at Quintiles to make significant changes in the way we do business. This ethical approach to doing business, to “doing the right thing” was well established and recognized in our organization.
We had in place specific programs to reinforce ethics, before they were required and we continue to reinforce among our employees our dedication to these values.
Our Corporate Governance principles focus on three areas:

• Ethical
